Vessel Mixers
When you have a vessel or stand-alone sink, you will want a statement vessel mixer to match.
Since a vessel sink sits on top of the vanity or benchtop, your tapware will be higher than mixers on other kinds of sinks.
Vessel mixers are mounted on the benchtop, creating a focal point. You can choose the right placement on the countertop to suit your bathroom design and the vessel mixer design.
Shopping for Vessel Mixers
When choosing vessel tapware, there are several factors you may want to consider including finish, height, and other features.
- Vessel mixers come in a range of finishes so you can choose the right finish and colour to match the other tapware and fittings in your bathroom. Consider the finish of the cabinet hardware and showerhead, and pick something complementary. Our vessel mixers come in brushed chrome, satin chrome, gunmetal, matte white, gold, and more.
- Before buying the tapware, you should measure the height of the sink as a starting point. The mixer should be several centimetres taller than the top of the vessel basin. Also, there should be enough room to wash hands comfortably. If the vessel mixer is too tall you may get lots of splashback when using your sink.
- If you would like the option of moving the spout out of the way, then look for vessel mixers that can swivel. Some taps also allow you to adjust their height.
- Water pressure. Make sure you choose a mixer that is compatible with the available water pressure.
